deFORM

deFORM studio originated as a project of two fellow students, Václav Mlynář and Jakub Pollág. The childhood friends met each other in the studio of product design at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. Young upcoming designers have achieved a wide range of implementations. They move at the interface of product design and furniture design through graphic design to interior and exhibition design. Their latest projects include a light installation called "Transmission", which was also located in the Czech House during the Olympic Games in London. They got inspired when visiting Italian Carrara and its famous marble, which they intended to place in the context of the 21st century. The studio deFORM, besides its commercial contracts, is also involved in the creation of conceptual projects at the interface of design and art.
